- The Movement
SWISS MILITARY HANOWA uses only Swiss made quartz or mechanical movements from leading manufacturers in Switzerland. All mechanical watches are equipped with a transparent glass case back, which displays the heart of the watch: the movement.

- The case
The steel cases and metal bracelets are made of 316 L high-grade steel. SWISS MILITARY HANOWA uses the leading IP (ion plating) technology to coat the watch surface in yellow or rose gold, or in black.

- The Dial, the Hands
Luminescent hands and/or hour markers on the dial are a standard feature on our watches. SWISS MILITARY HANOWA uses safe “Superluminova” material, allowing for perfect readability and timekeeping even at night.

- The Bracelet
Each metal bracelet is fitted with security clasp that is easy to adjust to the desired length. All bracelets are made of stainless steel, ceramic or titanium.

- The Leather Straps
SWISS MILITARY HANOWA leather straps are made of refined, high quality leather, carefully crafted and specially treated for water impermeability.

- Water resistance
The majority of our watches, with the exception of our extra flat models, are fitted with a screw back, assuring perfect water resistance down to 200 meters.

- Sapphire Crystal
The majority of our watches feature scratch-resistant sapphire crystals. Sapphire is one of the hardest substances, registering 9 on the Mohs scale of rating the relative scratch resistance of materials (diamond measures 10).
